Quick painting for character of the week. Sort of Klimt meets Pollock via a chinese romance novel.

today i maybe watched 7 episodes of entourage

Decided to re-visit an old study to work it up into an illustration for a short story - couldn't find my original ref though, unfortunately. I hate painting without making a drawing first, but it went okay this time, probably because of my awesome new brush.




Also: ghosts! Originally intended as an illustration for a story, I eventually came to terms with the fact that it was entirely inappropriate. But I kinda liked the heads.

the avenging force

The past few days I've just been working on one drawing (well.. in between playing Contact, watching Dexter and cinema trips). I thought it would be interesting to take some process photos. I wish I'd been able to have the boar in it's original pose, it was much more interesting. For some unknown reason there is a real lack of reference photos of boars charging forwards.
