death in folklore


Here's a cover I did a little while ago for Fées Divers magazine. Featuring some harbingers of death - the banshee, the white lady, the washerwoman who'll break your bones in her laundry and old Ankou himself. Here's my personal fave in a close-up!

Holy shit, Ankou! I've been interested in this representation of death since I was a kid. So awesome to see one of my favorite artists depict him.
